Orangutan Tour Description
The 6 days visit orangutan and trekking program designed for special Peoples who would like to have bit challenging trekking through tropical rainforest but also to who love wildlfe apecially orangutan. Trekking area will be started from Pondok Tanggui camp to Pesalat camp which is took around 1 days trek. The best time to do this program is during dry season as mentioned above , during rainy season the forest cover with water because most our trek area is swamp forest. Overnight in the middle of the forest is one of the highlight of this program, This program is the combination between 5 days regular program and 5 days orangutan trekking program.


Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive at Pangkalan bun
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up then drive to Kumai for 20 minutes board on the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 12m by 2.5m with roof upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide's team includes the boatman, own chef and guide. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the wildlife such as long noses monkey, long tail macaque, birds. Dinner and overnight on the boat. simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen, simple western toilet available on boat. L,D

Day 2 : Full day visit Camp Leakey
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest and also known as research center for Orangutan. Trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, wild orangutan, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle plant. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Dinner on the boat. Overnight on the boat. B, L, D

Day 3 : Pondok Tanggui - Pesalat
Start from Pondok tanggui after enjoy orangutan feeding time. Have full day trekking accompanied by local expert through the forest while observing wildlife surrounding. Lunch will be provided at the forest. Reach Pesalat in the late afternoon, set the tend and having dinner at the open air in the middle of the forest. During night we might have night observation for nocturnal animal, glowing mushroom is often found. ( B, L, D )

Day 4 : Pesalat - 2nd visit camp leakey
To whom would like to do bird watching, pesalat is the best place, start in the early in the morning for bird watching. or just enjoy the forest. Our trip will continuing by have second visit to Camp Leakey. witness feeding time. ( B, L, D )

Day 5 : Camp leakey trekking - Pangkalan Bun
Morning trekking surrounding camp leakey area then boat down the river while enjoy Lunch. on the way stop at Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center and visiting small village near by the park. Late afternoon boat down slowly observe fire flies along the nipah Palm mangrove on our way back to Pangkalan Bun city. Overnight at the hotel. ( B, L, D ) .

Day 6 : Pangkalan Bun - Airport
Free morning program before transfer to Airport for your next destination ( B ) . Tour end.

Above program designed to accommodate to the visitor who would like soft adventures trekking and overnight on the forest. But we also design the program with full flexibility, please feel free to discuss with our guide team if you would like to make some chances.
