WEST BORNEO LONGHOUSE TOUR

Day 01; PONTIANAK ARRIVAL (D)
Upon arrival at Supadio Airport of Pontianak, transfer to hotel for overnight. Afternoon is free at own leisure.

Day 02; PONTIANAK , KAMPUNG SAHAM (BLD)
Early morning drive to Kampung saham (about 120 kilometers from Pontianak ). On the way we will pass many plantations, stop at the historical Taman Juang Mandor, a place where those who strived for freedom were buried as causalities of Dai Nippon's Navy in the Second World War. Afterwards we proceed to Kampung Saham. Lunch enroute, dinner at Longhouse. Overnight at local house.

Day 03; KAMPUNG SAHAM, PONTIANAK (BLD)
In the morning explore Kendayan's farm life. After lunch return to Pontianak .

Day 01 : PONTIANAK (D)
Meeting service at the airport on arrival. Transfer to your hotel to check in. Balance of the
day, free at leisure.

Day 02 : PONTIANAK , KAMPUNG SAHAM (BLD)
Kampung Saham, situated about 120 kilometres away from Pontianak , is a famous Long
House in West Kalimantan . On the way proceed to witness the historical Taman Juang
Mandor, a place where those who strived for freedom were buried as casualties of Dai
Nippon's Navy in the second world war. After that we proceed to Kampung Saham. Our trip
passes through rubber estates, pepper plantations, paddy fields and scenic countryside. On
arrival there in the early afternoon, learn and feel the Kendayan tribe's life. Dinner will be
served in the Long House. Stay overnight on the verandah or in the chief's room.

Day 03 : KAMPUNG SAHAM - PONTIANAK ( BLD )
In the morning, explore the surrounding or visit Kendayan's Farm where you can experience
yourself the thrill of living in an authentic Kendayan Long House. Watch the Kendayan
working in their farm. After lunch, return to Pontianak .

 Day 04 : DEPARTURE ( B)
Free program in the morning untill time you are transferred to the airport for departure to
your next destination.

SERIMBU RAPIDS ADVENTURE
Duration 06 Days / 05 nights

 INTRODUCTION :

One part of Landak river is renowned for its rugged rapids along the river. There are three major
rapids called : Riam Pulau, Riam Panjang and Riam Jambu respectively. which are situated at a
distance giving increasing challenge as the boat passing through them apart from many minor rapids
you are going to encounter.

This unique challenging rapids adventure is conducted using local boats with highly experienced
boatmen to enable the trip possible.

The tour also gives you an outlook of the only area in West Kalimantan that produces diamond apart
from gold. You are indeed welcome to try the traditional way of panning gold or diamond during the
trip.

You will observe closely the living cultures and social structures in the jungle. In person you'll
experience the jungle-life and getting to know more people, filling your heart with their cheerful
laughter. This adventure tour is only organised in its main features and so it will always be an
adventure, which is depending on weather and river conditions.

We suppose your health is in normal condition and the usual hiking-outfit in the tropics is
recommended.

Day 01 : AIRPORT, KAMPUNG SAHAM LONGHOUSE (LD)
Meeting service upon arrival at the Airport, transfer to the Longhouse located at Kampung
Saham Approximately 2,5 hours drive. Overnight stay in the longhouse. The natives
entertain us with their traditional meals and drinks. Meanwhile, the cultural dances will be
performed and we may listen to the songs and typical sound of drums.

Day 02 : KAMPUNG SAHAM, NGABANG, TEMOYOK (BLD)
After breakfast, depart for Ngabang then go upriver by motorboat through challenging rapids
; Riam Pulau. Feel the thrills as our boat is being tugged by other motorboat to enable us to
pass through the rapids. We will encounter another more challenging rapids: Riam Panjang
where we have to get off boat and pull the boat across the rapids with all our might . Stay
overnight in the Temoyok village to relieve our tiredness and gain strength for the next day
is challenge (it depends on river condition, if it is not possible then we have to stay overnight
at Kuala Behe).

Day 03 : TEMOYOK, SERIMBU (BLD)
After breakfast , going upriver by our motorboat to continue our rapids adventure, along the
way we can see the natives are seeking for diamonds/golds in the river in a traditional way.
By permission, you may participate to pan gold by the river, After that ride along the most
challenging and the most feared rapids; Riam Jambu before we arrive at a little village Serimbu. Stay overnight .

Day 04 : SERIMBU, MALANGGAR WATERFALL-SERIMBU (BLD)
After breakfast, a two-hour boat ride along a tiny shallow meandering river full of pointed
rock will lead us to a starting place for our jungle trekking. Trek through the jungle and stop
by Malanggar waterfall where we take rest . After lunch we continue our jungle walk through a
steep hill where we have to climb up with the only rope available. It takes another one-hour
walk to a place where our boat is waiting to take us back to Serimbu.

Day 05 : SERIMBU, NGABANG, PONTIANAK (B,L,D)
Early morning we return to Ngabang using our motorboat. Feel the different excitement as we
go down stream passing through the rapids we encountered the previous day. On arrival at
Ngabang we return to Pontianak by coach.

Day 06 : PONTIANAK - DEPARTURE (B)
Free programme till time to be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
